The Psallite Chamber Choir has existed in the parish of Korsholm since 1966. The aim of the choir has always been a broad, meaningful repertoire with challenging music. On its agenda sacred and secular music as well as simple a cappella songs and big works for choir and archestra can be found. Music from the most various epochs is sung, everything from music from the Middle Ages to modern music and recently composed musik. Thus the coir fulfils its aim to introduce music for every different taste of the audience as well as that of the choir singers themselves. Holmgård thinks that it is of great importance to choose a broad line: "It stimulates the choir singers to continuous interest in singing".
